Kelly M. Seeger and Daniel Rogers are consultants with ICF International. Last week they paid a visit to the Energy Management Solutions office to explain the latest NYSerda Commercial Lighting Program to our sales team. With dual PowerPoint presentations in hand Kelly and Daniel went over the rebates and incentives we can offer commercial properties in New York State. This program has two key important parts: efficiency qualifications and “The Right Light” standard. In simple terms when Energy Management Solutions works with your new or existing construction project together we design a lighting system that is efficient enough (10% lower than the current U.S. Energy Code) and meets a high quality measured workplace lighting standard to qualify for NYSerda money. There’s no better time to improve your workplace environment with better light and substantially lower your energy bills.

Kelly explains some of the criteria that are scientifically measured in order for NYSerda qualification including CRI (Color Rendering Index), Spacing Criteria and Luminous Intensity (glare).

Everyday is earth day around our office but once a year the entire world celebrates our world. If you’re from the New York area you know there’s no better place to spend time outdoors than Bear Mountain.

Bear Mountain State Park is located on the west side of the Hudson River in Rockland County, New York. The 5,067-acre park offers biking, hiking, boating, picnicking, swimming, cross-country skiing, cross-country running, sledding and ice-skating as well as a zoo, trailside museums, a hotel called Bear Mountain Inn, a carousel and a dining facility.
